Cookie policy
How we use cookies on procese.online
Short version: we use a single technical cookie to remember your theme across pages. We don't use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or social-network cookies. We count visits with a tool that sets no cookie at all. This page explains in detail.
The Romanian-language version is the legally binding version. This English translation is provided for convenience.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file saved by your browser when you visit a site. The site can read it on subsequent visits to remember something about you — for example, your chosen language or whether you're signed in.
Cookies can be strictly necessary (without them the site doesn't work) or optional (analytics, advertising, personalization). For optional cookies, GDPR requires your explicit consent.
2. What we use
On procese.online we use a single cookie:
nv.theme— technical, strictly necessary cookie. Stores the theme you picked (light, dark or auto), so the preference persists between the site (procese.online) and the app (app.procese.online). Your language is stored nowhere: the language is the page's address, and/en/is the English one.- Domain
.procese.online(or host-only in local development) - Lifetime 1 year
- SameSite Lax
- HttpOnly no (it's also read by JavaScript to apply the theme instantly)
- Domain
Because this is a strictly necessary cookie for basic site functionality (preference sync between site and app), it doesn't require explicit consent under art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy).
In the web app (app.procese.online) we additionally use cookies / local storage to keep your authenticated session — session tokens issued after sign-in. These are also strictly necessary for app function.
3. Third-party cookies
We don't use:
- Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager;
- Facebook Pixel or other social-network pixels;
- remarketing or behavioral profiling cookies;
- cookies for personalized advertising.
We use Cloudflare as our CDN, which may set technical security cookies (e.g., __cf_bm against aggressive bots). These are strictly technical, expire in a few minutes, and don't track you across sites.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookie, uses no identifier that would recognise you, and does not follow you to other sites. What we see are numbers: how many pages were read, from which country, and which site they came from. None of those numbers can be tied back to a person.
4. How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Links to official documentation for the most common browsers:
If you block nv.theme, the site will still work, but the theme won't persist between pages or between site and app: every page will follow your system setting instead.
5. Changes
If we ever add a new cookie, we will update this page and announce the change at least 30 days in advance. For cookies requiring consent, we will display an explicit consent banner before setting them.
